We work with our clients both on-site and remotely. This is a part time flexible position. We offer the ability to work from our client offices, our Saratoga Springs office and from other remote locations, ie. home.
Typical Client Responsibilities would include:
- Reviewing financial information and/or data entry
- Software migration and/or system integrations
- Closing month-end
- Recording recurring journal entries such as payroll and depreciation
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Defining client-centric reports
- Developing and maintaining 13 week cash flow forecasts
- Developing workflow processes
- Identifying and correcting existing problems
- Implementing efficiencies and best practices
- Supervising client or CEFO staff accountants and/or bookkeepers

Requirements for this position:
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably at the Controller and/or CFO level.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills required. Must understand and be willing to adapt to a changing role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Diverse industry experience preferred but not required.
- CPA or CPA candidate required.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
- Mix of Public Accounting and Private Company experience preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in company training and staff meetings via zoom and/or in the Saratoga office. Some client travel throughout Tri-City area is required. Non-local candidates need not apply.

Amazing opportunity exists for a talented hands-on bookkeeper. Full grasp of accounting cycle with attention to detail required. This position will work with multiple clients at their offices during the work week. Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Accounting:
- Maintain accounts payable and process vendor payments
- Manage customer billing and account payments
- Prepare monthly bank, balance sheet and corporate credit card reconciliations; Process journal entries as required
- Reconcile inventory, review inventory levels and advise on fulfillment; Follow up on backordered products
- Prepare job cost reports, review backlog and update retainage information
- Call customers on past due invoices
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Sales and Use Tax Returns

Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years of experience
